Region music icon Willie Nelson is canceling two Las Las Vegas shows due to condition.
His publicist Elaine Schock said Thursday that Nelson has a severe cold and won’t perform Saturday or Sunday.
He plans to play the remaining 3 shows — Feb. you, 3 and 4 — at The Venetian hotel on the Las Vegas Sin city Strip.
The canceled shows have not been rescheduled, and ticket-holders were encouraged to seek refunds from the point of purchase.
Nelson is 83 and hails from Austin, Texas.
The singer-songwriter behind hits such as “On the Road Again” and “Always on My Mind” Willie told the Associated Press recently that he will have a brand new album out this springtime called God’s Problem Child.
Nelson was originally scheduled to appear at the Venetian Hotel as part of Willie Nelson & Family: Vegas on My Mind. All shows would feature a set list and production designed exclusively for the limited Vegas engagement and decades of hits from Willie Nelson’s extensive career.
Nelson has earned every conceivable award as a musician and amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor, and activist. He continues to thrive as a relevant and progressive musical and cultural force.
